My Girlfriend’s Friend

It started out as an evening like any other. Friday night, after work, I was settling down to a take-out dinner with my girlfriend in front of whatever streaming show she chose to watch for the thousandth time. Not that I minded- I loved spending time with her. Her name was Autumn, and I knew I was going to marry her, even though we weren’t quite at the level of going through with a proposal yet.

“What’d you bring home tonight?” she asked.

“Your favorite. Pad thai,” I said. She smiled and jumped on me, straddling me around the waist and giving me a kiss.

“What are we watching?” I asked.

“You’ll find out,” she said. That was how the conversation usually went.

We sat down on the couch and started eating, with the television in the background. Tonight, though, it seemed Autumn had something on her mind.

“How was your day?” she asked me.

“You know, like any other work day. I can’t wait to get out of there. I’m glad it’s the weekend,” I said.

“I know. Speaking of the weekend…do you have plans tomorrow night?” she asked.

“I didn’t, but it kinda sounds like I do now,” I said. She smiled in acknowledgment.

“Well, I have a proposal,” she said.

“And what’s that?”

“You know how you’ve always been open-minded in the bedroom?” she started.

This was true. We’d been together three years. We’d had threesomes, I’d watched another guy fuck her…we were probably a good bit more sexually adventurous than your mainstream couple. But I wasn’t prepared for what she was about to say.

“Where’s this headed?” I asked her as I took a bite of my noodles.

“What would you think about…about…having sex with a guy?” she asked.

I nearly spat my noodles out. I didn’t say anything, but the expression on my face must have spoken for me. Autumn quickly backtracked.

“I mean, maybe just got a blow job from a guy?” she pivoted.

I sat back on the couch, finally managing to both tame my expression and swallow the bite of noodles before speaking. She’d caught me off guard with this one, but after the initial shock wore off, I knew what my response was going to be. After everything we’d done, it was only fair. I didn’t think about it twice.

“If it turns you on, I’ll do it,” I said.

She grinned from ear to ear and hopped in her seat, barely containing herself from jumping with excitement.

“You asked me about tomorrow…do you already have someone in mind? I don’t get a say about what dude gets to suck my dick?” I said. It was obvious she already had someone lined up, and I was only giving her a playful hard time about it.

“Brandon?” she said with a wincing half-smile.

Brandon was one of her best friends and I knew him fairly well. He was openly gay, and wasn’t the worst looking guy in the world. I knew she was open with him about our sex life, and had been pretty confident he had a crush on me…I had to say, I wasn’t too surprised at how all this was playing out now that I had all the information.
